Aari Techniques for Maggam Embroidery Blouse

Finally after a long time I got a pleasant afternoon to post my new Aari Embroidery Stitch.  Here I will explain how to do chain stitches in sharp ends.  I am posting a video tutorial to explain

this  technique in detail.  If you have any doubts, please post your comments, I am here to help you out.

As you normally do, start with your chain stitches.  When you reach the edge, just punch the needle in a perpendicular direction, pull it down and then continue with your chain stitches.  This pulling down the thread gives a sharp turning.  Then continue the chain stitches and again when there is sharp turning, punch the needle perpendicular, pull the thread in the opposite direction and continue with the stitches as usual.  You may wonder, why I am the chain stitches all the time.  It is the basic of Maggam Embroidery.  You have to master your skills in aari chain stitches before moving on to the next step.  Keep practicing your chain stitches in both forward and reverse direction and also evren sideways.  This will make your hand flexible to move in any direction when designing on a project like Designing your Maggam Embroidery Blouse.  especially for the satin stitch or filling stitch, your hands need more flexibility to pull and do the stitches in all directions.  Keep practicing, don't give up.  You can do it.
